The Mosasaur lived on almost every continent 70-75 million years ago during the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic Era. Nicknamed the 'Lizard of the Maas River' for its discovery in the Netherlands near Maastricht. Mosasaurs were the largest lizards ever to evolve with a length of almost 60 feet with a long snake like tail and flippered feet. It’s believed that the bite force of the Mosasaur was equal to that of a Tyrannosaurus rex. The Mosasaur was a true hunter and killer that had no rival during their existence. The average length of these teeth is 35mm and the overall specimen size is about 8cms with a weight of 250gms. Specimen supplied is from Khouribga Plateau in Morocco and will vary from those illustrated but will be similar.
