Diamond Drill Bits  Ref: DiaDrill
A) Use a drill press with a true running chuck to provide a stable mount for the drill. Hand-held tools are not adequate.

B) Recommended Speed: Approx. 5,000 to 10,000 RPM for drill diameters 0.75mm to 2.5mm. The smaller the drill, the higher the speed. Precise speed settings are not critical.

C) All drilling must be done under water or with another suitable coolant.

D) To prolong drill life, use only moderate pressure against workpiece and a very brief drill contact time. Use a rapid up-and-down motion of the bit to allow coolant to flush the drill tip. Excessive dwell time or pressure will cause overheating and strip diamond from the cutting edge.

E) Expose only sufficient drill shank to allow the drill to travel through the workpiece.

F) To minimize chipping when the drill breaks through, back the stone with glass or a similar hard material. (not metal).
