Hand carved 15cms Pair of Parrots on Branch. Labradorite

Ref: LabradParrots

Fashioned from a single piece of high quality Madagascan Labradorite feldspar. This unique and appealing carving of a pair of parrots was an obvious subject choice for a stone that has flashes of bright blue colour emanating from within this precious gemstone. Skillfully orientated by the Chinese master craftsmen to show the colour on the breast and wings of the birds. The carving has an overall height of 150mm, a width of 120mm and a weight just under 1Kg. The detail mimics the natural texture of the birds and branch by being left unpolished and satin finished. The base hase been ground smooth so that the sculpture is free-standing.

Magnetic Hematite Necklace

Traditional 18 inch (about 45cms) lengths of assorted 'Fancy' beads made from Magnetised reprocessed Hematite (Iron ore). Bead diameter varies from about 4mm to 8mm and the beads are arranged in a regular repeated pattern. The necklaces have a very strong and unobtrusive magnetic barrel fastener (Click on image for detail).
