A unique, skillfully crafted, trinket box created from laminated precision slices of gemstone. Unlike our smaller boxes this one has intarsia panels on all four sides and the lid has a faceted bevel. These boxes are a joy to behold and are testimony to the remarkable skill of the Chinese artisans.
Rising wage rates and costs, in China, mean that it is very unlikely we will ever be able to match again, the low price and exceptional value of this beautiful object. Being individually crafted means that the lid will fit in one position only identified by mother-of-pearl inserts. The lid is secured when fitted by tiny magnets incorporated in the box lining. Overall 12cms x 8cms x 5cms and weighing 400gms.
