Helens design flair and her high quality lapidary and silversmithing skills have created another of these popular and unique design - and completely hand-crafted - pendants, with a reversible layered bail, such that it can be worn to show either side of this ancient Jurassic Ammonite Fossil from Madagascar.
Clear cell patterns are visible on the sawn and polished face and the reverse shows cell suture patterns and some brightly coloured Ammolite. Overall size 45mm with a fossil diameter if about 32mm.
Produced by Helen Hilton, from Sterling Silver (including the bail) and supplied complete with a free black velveteen pouch (ref 24-063) and 16 inch neckcord (55-011).

An 'easy-to-wear, anywhere' pendant in the form of a baroque, tri-lobe low-dome, cabochon set in a plain-bezel, sterling silver, open-back mount. The unusual gemstone from Norway measures approximately 38mm and weighs 110cts. Thulite is a pink variety of Zoisite containing Manganese.
An attractive hand-knotted cord (approx 21inch) of complimentary colour has been created by Helen and incorporates one of her classic hand-made 'S-Clasp' fasteners. A great gift idea !

Hand Crafted freeform Charoite Pendant in Sterling Silver

This freeform, medium dome, tri-lobe cabochon (measuring 30mm x 20mm) has been cut and polished by Helen from top quality Russian Charoite. The swirling rich violet patterns emanating from the centre of this rare gem - unique to one Russian locality in the Murun mountains in Yakutia - have been mimicked by Helens fine piercing and silversmithing skills on the reverse of this unique pendant. By combining a series of appropriately scaled jump rings - through which a matching toned leather thong has been passed - counter-balanced by feature graduated silver beads; the pendant has an appealing mobility when worn. Hand crafted Sterling Silver Floral Pendant with Amethyst

This delicate five-petal floral design has been hand cut, profiled and textured, by Helen, from solid sterling silver sheet and she has cut an Amethyst Quartz ,13mm cabochon, and incorporated it in a plain bezel centre mount. Hand crafted Pebble necklace in Sterling Silver & copper

Prompted by the success of other 'pebble' jewellery incorporating Copper (possibly due to Copper being the material traditionally associated with the 7th Wedding Anniversary !), Helen has drilled this smooth oval Yorkshire pebble to create another of her unique designs. Pebble size is 41mm x 25mm.
By embelishing the pebble with her hand-crafted and textured miniature flower in copper surmounted by a small piece of light green 'sea glass' (riveted on with sterling silver) she has created an endearing piece with a holiday flavour. Heavy copper rings are used to securely fasten the pendant to neck-cords of complimentary colours.

Hand made Copper Flower and Yorkshire pebble Pendant with sea glass

With pebble and green glass personally collected from the National Trusts Runswick Bay beach in Yorkshire; Helen has created another delightful pendant by combining her hand-cut and textured copper fretwork with an unasuming - but tactile - pebble and then decorating it with a piece of pale-green, frosted, sea-glass fastened to the 36mm diameter pebble with a sterling silver rivet. To complement her unique design, Helen has used colour co-ordinated intertwined cord with a knotted loop fastener and the pendant is attached by means of a sterling silver wire bail.

Yorkshire Pebble and Sea-glass Pendant with Copper

Hand crafted Sterling Silver Seagull Pendant with Thulite

This beautiful deep pink gemstone from Norway is a variety of zoisite. Only the very best quality rough, with a minimum of visible calcite, has been chosen by Helen before embarking on her pendant design. By cutting and polishing her gem, in proportions that are complimented by her hand-crafted seagull, she has created a unique and unusual piece of jewellery. A high polish has been achieved on this hard (6.5 on the Mohs' scale) gem skillfully set in a plain-bezel, open-back, mount in which the tube (through which the neck-wire passes) is hidden behind the bird in flight. Thulite is a rare gem in this quality and it is unlikely that such a piece will be found in most jewellers collections. We don't anticipate this item being on our shelves for long before being snapped up by a discerning buyer. Supplied with a black velveteen draw-string pouch.

Black Opal and Ammonite on Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet

A beautiful Sterling Silver, Hallmarked, bracelet with T-Bar clasp, supporting two small - bezel set - Fossil Ammonites (both showing bright Ammolite rainbow colours on the reverse) and a stunning 'Lightening Ridge' Black Opal. The Opal is protectively placed in a solid back plain burnished bezel setting and measures 19mm x 12mm.
Even in low light conditions this Opal hints of something wonderful and it is when exposed to bright light that it reveals its true nature; displaying inrtense flashes of blue and green dashed across the entire face of the stone. It is no wonder that Lightening Ridge Black Opal from Australia is so revered.

Hand crafted Rutilated Quartz Daisy Pendant in Sterling Silver

'Spring Hopes' - Whilst wandering across the meadow behind her home, Helen was inspired to capture the beauty of nature radiating from within a sun-lit daisy. Hours later - after a few careful sketches and a search through her treasure box of rough stone - the design for this eminently wearable pendant had emerged. Entirely hand cut with a piercing saw, the dual layered, satin textured, petal form was soldered to the solid backed bezel setting ready to accept the feature stone. Rutilated Quartz is an increasingly rare semi-precious stone from Brazil whose encapsulated fine golden crystal needles of Rutile (an Iron/Titanium mineral) shimmer as light impacts them through the clear rock crystal. The stone is popularly known as 'Venus-Hair Stone'.
Entirely fabricated from Sterling Silver, this hallmarked piece - with the custom-cut 12mm cabochon gemstone - weighs 22gms and measures 45mm in diameter (about 1.75inch).
A tube soldered to the rear of the daisy carries the silver multi-strand cord which has a hand-made twisted square section bar and ring fastener.

Hand crafted Snakeskin Agate 2-stone Pendant in Sterling Silver

With a remarkable eye for detail, Helen Hilton has designed and created this unique pendant in which she has ground and polished the semi-precious Agate in such a way that the natural coloured features of the stone flow with the design. Fabricated entirely from Sterling Silver and featuring dimple texturing and graduated solid beads. The tube through which the (supplied) natural leather cord passes is large enough to accommodate a chain if the wearer prefers.
The reverse side has satin-brushed solid backs to the burnished bezel stone settings and features a series of assorted size piercings accentuating the snakeskin theme. Overall 7cms x 3cms and weighing 22gms

Chrysoprase 7-stone Bracelet in Sterling Silver

Our web-site image does not do justice to the brilliant apple-green of these cabochons fashioned by Helen from high quality Australian Chrysoprase. The colour in this cryptocrystalline silicate variety of Chalcedony is due to the presence of small traces of Nickel. The seven baroque, medium-dome, cabochons have been skillfully cut from matching density rough, resulting in a stunning semi-precious (adult-size 7 inch) bracelet that rivals quality Jade but has a hand-crafted exclusivity. Plain-bezel cabochon settings with solid backs are linked with soldered rings and the S-link clasp provides a secure fastening with everything fabricated from hallmarked Sterling Silver.

Hand crafted 2-stone Chrysoprase Pendant in Sterling Silver

Coverted by Eastern cultures in much the same way as Jade, this brilliant, apple-green, semi-precious chalcedony from Australia owes its colour to minute traces of nickel. Helen has selected quality pieces of rough with uniform colour distribution in the two cabochons which she has cut and polished. Plain-bezel settings with solid backs have been suspended from securely soldered ball and peg devices to provide articulated movement. The pendant is securely suspended, by means of a fine tube, from a 49-strand silver neckwire with an S-link catch.
Helens' entirely hand crafted creation in Sterling Silver is hallmarked, from the Birmingham assay office, incorporating her distictive 'HH' makers mark.

Bezel set in Sterling Silver with an open back; allowing sight of both sides of this beautifully polished agate which still bears evidence of the growth rings from a tree that was millions of years old. The styalised twig frame measures 55mms x 40mm overall and accentuates the natural form - also providing support for the hidden tube, across the back of the pendant, through which a chain or a cord can be passed.
