Labradorite and Moonstone Ster.Silver pendant: Seagull fastener

A beautifully evocative piece of jewellery. High quality Labradorite (sometimes known as Moonstone) has been skilfully cut and polished by Helen and is oriented to give a dazzling display of colour. Bright flashes of blue, green, turquoise and orange play across the surface of the 'cloud', while the tear drop beneath alternates between nearly transparent to sudden, electric blue. Both stones are surrounded by sterling silver satinised bezels.
The movement, created in the piece by use of chatoyant surfaces, is built upon by making the whole pendant articulated.
The graceful Seagull (also satinised) is the mechanism by which the pendant is secured.It passes through the ring, carrying with it the delicate rope chain, and rests comfortably above the 'cloud',moving slightly with the wearer's movements.
The chain is 18" long and the pendant measures roughly 60mm in length.
Hallmarked by Birmingham Assay Office with Helens' unique 'HH' mark.

Another unique creation from Helen in which the natural golden pyrite inclusions, within this high-grade dark royal blue Lapis Lazuli, inspired her to create a piece that is themed 'out-of-this-World' ! The Lapis measures 38mm in diameter and the overall weight is 44gms
The Lapis is set in a plain bezel mount that has a brushed texture reverse with a pierced representation of Saturn. ( click on the link). The theme is carried out throughout the hand made orbital design chain with a clever comet-like loop and bar catch.

Hand crafted Sterling Silver and Fossil Ammonite Pendant.

Helen has transformed this 'A' Grade polished Jurassic (140-200 million years old) Ammonite specimen, from Madagascar, into an eminently wearable piece of modern jewellery - with a twist: Flip the triple-domed bail over and the pendant may be worn so that the back of the specimen can be seen. The polished back, or shell, of this ancient ammonite sea-creature exhibits flashes of bright colour (mainly red) as seen in Ammolite. Twisted square section sterling silver surrounds the central feature disc in which tiny bubbles (grains of silver) have been soldered to emulate the underwater environment in which this nautilus-type shell would have existed. Overall 40mm x 28mm. The bail is large enough to accommodate any chain or cord but a fine curb sterling silver 18 inch chain is included in the price along with a magnetic-closure black and ivory coloured pendant gift box.

A stunning piece of Sunstone feldspar from Oregon, USA, that has been fashioned, by Helen, into a freeform oval cabochon - orientated in such a way as to maximise the schiller and sparkle of this unusual gem.
By enhancing the plain bezel and loop bail with flecks of 9ct Gold this articulated suspension design mirrors the natural features of the gem and compliments the colour.
The stone measures 26mm x 19mm and the overall length of the pendant with the bail and textured loop is 50mm.
Hallmarked with Helens distinctive 'HH' mark by Birmingham assay office.

Hand crafted Sterling Silver Butterfly Bracelet in Mary Ellen Jasper

Helen has selected a rare and unusual Jasper (Mary Ellen) which she has carefully orientated and carved to become the centre-piece of her unique design of heavy chain bracelet. By incorporating the 'body' of the butterfly into her tee-bar link, Helen has turned a traditional fastener into an integral part of her lapidary art. The adult length (7 inch) bracelet is formed from 18 'D- section' heavy guage rings of 10mm diameter. The reverse of the plain bezel burnished butterfly mount has been pierced with traditional wing markings and has been hallmarked by the Sheffield assay office with Helens' distinctive makers mark. The total weight of the piece is 36gms and the butterfly measures 40mm at the widest point.

An exceptional piece of highest quality, deep blue, untreated Afghan Lapis Lazuli, cut by Helen into a low-domed oval cabochon measuring 40mm x 30mm. The Lapis is securely mounted in a plain bezel burnished setting - with an open back - and the pendant is soldered to the hollow tube chain/cord mount by means of two solid 9ct Gold beads. Incorporating Gold features artistically compliments the natural 'fools gold' iron pyrite visible as randomly scattered flecks within the Lapis. Total weight of this unique pendant is 20gms.
