## OCTOBER - OPAL A symbol of hope and good luck. Thought to protect against poisoned food and to promote a good memory.
## NOVEMBER - TOPAZ (or Citrine) (or Citrine) Derived from Sanskrit 'Tapas' meaning fire. Thought to ward off epilepsy and asthma and to cure insomnia.
## DECEMBER - TURQUOISE Popularised by its use in Egypt nearly 5,000 years ago. Said to guarantee the fidelity of those in love.
