Rarely - in nearly forty years of trading - have we encountered such ambitious and enterprising skill from the Chinese craftsmen who have created this amazing teapot from a single Brazilian Agate nodule.
This beautiful objet d'art would grace any collection and is likely to end up in a museum of lapidary art - either public or private - and is sure to impress the beholder. The spout and handle have not been glued on but are an integral piece with the body; having been hollowed out, revealing the transparency of the cream/carnelian red fortification agate.
